Trails & Maps is a travel blog built for people who want clear, useful, and easy-to-follow travel guides.
I’m Yacin, a seafarer who spends part of the year working at sea and the rest of the year traveling. Travel has become my biggest passion, and because I do not have a fixed home base, I spend most of my leave exploring new places, planning routes, and learning destinations in a more practical way.
Since early 2024, I have mainly been based in Peru, traveling through the country and getting to know it beyond just the main tourist route. That experience now shapes much of the content on Trails & Maps.

During my own travels, I have often been helped by travel blogs and guides from people who had already been there before me. Those articles made planning easier, gave me useful tips, and helped me feel better prepared.
Since I have been traveling full-time over the past few years, I wanted to create the same kind of helpful resource for other travelers. Trails & Maps is my way of sharing real experiences, practical advice, and clear travel information so readers can plan better, feel more confident, and get the most out of their own adventure.
